Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
You will leave your hotel in Nairobi early in the morning with your safari guide and begin the drive to Amboseli National Park. The drive takes about four to five hours and gives you a good view of the Kenyan countryside along the way.
When you arrive in Amboseli in the early afternoon, you will go straight to your lodge or tented camp for check-in, followed by lunch and some time to relax. Later in the afternoon, you will go on your first game drive in the park.
Amboseli is known for its wide open spaces and for being one of the best places in Africa to see large herds of elephants up close. You may also see other animals such as zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, and gazelles. After the game drive, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Start the day early with a morning game drive. The skies are usually clear at this time, and you may get beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Early morning is also a good time to see more animals, including lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, hippos, and a wide variety of birds.
After the game drive, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast, then check out. Begin your journey back to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. This brings your 2-day Amboseli safari to an end.
