Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Nairobi city is the capital city of Kenya. You will be picked from the international airport of Jomo Kenyatta in Nairobi and drive to Amboseli national park, proud home to huge herds of the African Elephant. Upon arrival, have lunch and embark on a late afternoon game drive in Amboseli.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park Game Drive Expedition
Today you explore Amboseli national park on rewarding game drives around the park. As you look out for the animals, take time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Amboseli and the amazing view of the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Drive to Lake Amboseli and to the swamps for some aquatic life sightings including the birds and hippos.
Animals to look out for as you drive across the savannah plains include elephants which you can miss out on as Amboseli is home to big herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, jackals, leopards, wildebeests among others.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park
After your breakfast at the lodge in Amboseli, you will check out and depart for Tsavo west national park, situated in South Kenya. Tsavo West national park is known for its stunning features including the famous Mzima springs in the Northern part of the park.
You will be in Tsavo by the afternoon, check into your lodge, have lunch and a moment of relaxation. Later in the afternoon, drive out into the wilderness for a game drive to discover the beauty of Tsavo west national park. You will be able to see different animal species like elephants, crocodiles at the springs, waterbucks, lions, hippos, gazelles, buffalos, elephants, rhinos and more. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park
Today you depart for Tsavo East national park, but before that, you will have an early morning game drive before sunrise for a chance to catch the predators on a morning hunt for their breakfast and also to watch the park come to life at sunrise. Morning game drives are always rewarding as animals are more active during this time. Catch sight of some animals you might have missed out on during the afternoon game drive on day 3.
Drive back to the lodge for breakfast after which you will check out and your safari guide will drive you to Tsavo East national park, home to the “red” elephants and different landscapes. Have your lunch and head out for a game drive in search of the animals that inhabit Tsavo East. Cape buffalos, duikers, bushbucks, impalas, elephants, hartebeests, lions, mongoose, hyenas, leopards and more. Overnight back at the lodge.
Day 5: Tsavo East National Park to Nairobi
Before exiting the national park for Nairobi, you will have an early game drive in Tsavo East. This for a spectacular game viewing experience. As you watch the animals start of their new day in the wilderness. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast and then drive to Nairobi for a drop off at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport or at your hotel in Nairobi. End of safari
