Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli national park
Depart Nairobi city in the early morning and drive to the home of the African elephants in Kenya, Amboseli national park. After 4 hours on the road, you will be at the park. Your tour guide will drive you to your lodge for check in and a delicious lunch. Thereafter, head out for your first game drive in one of the most visited national parks in Kenya. Overnight and dinner at your lodge.
Day 2: Full day exploration of Amboseli national park
You have the whole day today to explore this beautiful park. At different hours of the day, you will set out to different areas of the park where you will encounter elephants, buffalos, zebras, hippos, warthogs, lions, hyenas, different antelopes and different bird species in the savannah plains and the swamp and lake Amboseli areas like pelicans, herons and kingfishers. At a designated spot, you will have your picnic lunch with beautiful views of the Kilimanjaro before heading out for another game drive. Return to your lodge at the end of the day with a satisfied adventure heart.
Day 3: Morning Game drive and Maasai village visit
Pre-sunrise game drive for a chance to catch the early risers of Amboseli national park and nocturnal animals on an early morning hunt. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, wild dogs, giraffes and more. Drive back to your lodge for breakfast and some relaxation time enjoying the amenities and ambiance as you reminisce about your wildlife finding so far.
After your lunch, your tour driver will drive you to the nearest Maasai village for a rewarding cultural experience. Get to know about their vibrant culture and their traditional practices. You can take park in the entertaining cultural dance. You can get some authentic African handmade crafts as gifts or souvenirs from their craft shops. Call it a day and return to your lodge for the 3rd night in the wilderness.
Day 4: Departure to Nairobi-End of safari
Early morning rise and drive back to Nairobi for a drop off at the airport for your flight back home.
