Sinet Delta – A Birdwatcher’s Sanctuary in Amboseli National Park

The park derives its name from the indigenous Masai people that inhabited this place. The word ‘Amboseli’ means Salty dust in the Masai language.  There are many reasons to love this national park. Due to the large herd of Elephants in the Amboseli National park, this is probably the best area in Africa were one can do documentaries and research on elephants.

Sinet delta is one of the famous attractions of the Amboseli National park. The delta is also a haven for birders in this national park. Most of the adventures to this national park will climax t this delta. More than half of the populations of the birds in the Amboseli National park are found in this delta. The delta is located in the northern sector of the Amboseli National park. The delta is mostly covered in thickets that house a lot of birds. There are also some swamps as well in this delta. The most common animals in the delta are giraffes.
