Day 1: Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park
Leave Nairobi in the morning and enjoy the drive through Kenya’s countryside. After about 4 hours, you will arrive at Amboseli National Park. Head to your safari lodge or camp, check in, and have lunch. In the afternoon, go out for your first game drive across the open plains. Watch for animals such as elephants, buffaloes, and more. Return to your lodge or camp around sunset for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Amboseli National Park
Today is set aside for a full day of game viewing in the park. You will go on game drives at different times of the day to improve your chances of seeing many animals. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, leopards, oryx, kudus, and dik-diks.
Amboseli is also a great place for bird-watching. You may see egrets, hamerkops, herons, pelicans, and kingfishers, especially around the wetland areas. After a day of exploring, return to your lodge or camp in the evening to relax and spend the night.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Start the day with an early morning game drive. This gives you another chance to see animals you may have missed. After the drive, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and check out. Then begin your journey back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport. End of safari.
