What to Pack for Your Amboseli March Safari
First, be open-minded, ready for adventure, and make sure you have space in your luggage for the many memories you will make.
Wear comfortable clothes. Avoid heavy or tight clothes. Choose clothes that are easy to wash so you can reuse them during your safari. It is best not to wear bright colors on game drives because they can scare the animals. Most game drives happen in the morning. Bring some warm clothes for cool mornings and evenings, but also clothes you can take off when it gets hot. Dressing in layers works best.
The most important items to pack are:
- Clothes in khaki, neutral, or dull colors
- Long-sleeved shirts to protect against mosquitoes and insects
- Light t-shirts
- Shorts or skirts for those who prefer them
- Sweaters for cold mornings and evenings
- Jeans and safari pants
