Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Leave Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park, known as the home of African elephants in Kenya. The drive takes about 4 hours. When you arrive, your guide will take you to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, go on your first game drive to explore one of Kenya’s most visited parks. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Today, spend the whole day exploring Amboseli. You will go for game drives at different times of the day to see animals like elephants, buffalos, zebras, hippos, warthogs, lions, hyenas, antelopes, and many birds.
In the swampy areas and around Lake Amboseli, you may spot pelicans, herons, and kingfishers. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After lunch, continue with more game viewing before returning to your lodge in the evening.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Masai Village Visit
Start the day with an early morning game drive before sunrise. This is the best time to see animals that are active at dawn. Watch out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, giraffes, and more. After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast and relax.
In the afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai village for a cultural tour. Learn about their way of life, join their traditional dance, and visit their craft shops where you can buy handmade souvenirs. After the visit, return to your lodge for dinner and your third night in Amboseli.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi – End of Safari
Wake up early, check out, and drive back to Nairobi. Your driver will drop you at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your 4-day Amboseli safari.
